Benirras Beach Ibiza

A well kept secret by the locals, Benirras has a wide curved beach of soft sand that gently slopes into the sea. There is no shade on the beach so cover-ups are necessary, however, the parking is shaded under mature pines. There are a couple of very good and reasonably priced restaurants on one side of the beach, but no other development. The area is very popular at weekends - this is where many locals go. Access is by dirt track via Porto San Miguel (Puerto Balanzat), or a narrow lane off the San Miguel (San Miquel) to San Juan (Sant Joan Baptista) road. A gem !
Don't miss watching the sunsets on Sundays, go early to ensure a parking space. The hippies arrive about 30 mins before sunset and the place becomes tranquil, all you can hear is the sound of the bongo drums being played to the sunset. Amazing !
