The ship inn 2006 has seen a refreshing refit throughout. From new bar, floor, seating, toilets and best of all the inclusion of a D.J. booth. For those of you who remember the few parties we had at the beginning of last season the D.J. booth has made a huge difference to the main outlook of the nighttimes in the bar. Wev'e already started this summer with two huge parties from our shipwrecked ‘D.J. Marco Loco’ with the usual madness and dancing on the tables.

During the day we’ll be doing much the same as last year with all the major sports events being shown as well as daily horse racing for any of you who can’t take a holiday from your local bookies without getting withdrawal symptoms. Of course the major thing on most blokes minds this summer will be the world cup so we’ll be showing every game live on 6 telly’s and our giant plasma screen complete with blacked out windows for maximum picture quality. Also a complimentary bowl of our famous chilli at half time for all the England matches.But most of all you’ll just find us a great place to chill out from the baking sun and have a few beers and a game of pool or relax on our outside terrace. Pies, pasties, sausage rolls and toasties are also available incase you get peckish.

This year we will also be the only bar in san Antonio with live music on offer. Whilst all the traditional live music venues in the town are shying away from live bands we feel that guitar based music is making a massive comeback so we’ll be showcasing new artists most evenings during the summer. The evenings without live music will be filled with comedians, hypnotists, magicians and anything else we can come up with to entertain you before you head for the clubs(or beds).For those of you who don’t want to give up, the pub is open til’ 6am every single night with the decks being opened to any new talented D.J.s on the island and some of the old favorites too.

And last but not least we’ve got our famous notice board choc a bloc with job info, apartments and hostels, items for sale and what’s on in the clubs and pubs. We are the only bar in San An with this type of information all in one place.

So whatever you enjoy doing on your holiday, be it a working one or not, we think we’ve got a little bit of something for everyone at the Ship Inn this summer. If you don’t believe us just pop in and see.(it costs nothing to look).
