The 2008 Event
Saturday 23 August saw the annual pilgrimage of San Antonio 's workers to the old zoo in Benimussa.
The early morning storm threatened to spoil the day, Though by 10am it was another bright and sunny day. As usual, the shit team were there early to make the final touches to the decor and relax a little before the madmess started. The party revellers began to arrive at 2pm after sleeping off the previous night's antics (though some looked like they came straight from last nights party.. )
- 20+ DJ's played back to back from start to finish and the line up was as good as ever. Thanks to all who did a set free of charge to help the cause.
- Fireshows, Group Photo and other photos taken all day.
- Prizes for the best fancy dress was was won by the guy dressed as a toilet, though it was a close competition and runners up were dressed as a ghetto blaster and dancers. Pics on the gallery.
- There was even an egg and spoon race around the pool, what was that all about ?
Congratulations go to the few early birds that made it for 2 o'clock!
As the afternoon wore on and San An's taxi rank got busier and busier, it soon became clear that this year's party would be the biggest and best yet.
This year's compulsory fancy dress theme seemed to catch on and well done to all of you who made the effort. An amazing array of costumes were on display – special shout to the winner of the competition, your toilet was great!
The group photo was bigger than ever, my god, where did they all come from? Then became time for everyone to hit the dance floor, with some very special DJ's building the whole event into a crescendo of madness!
With the foam party being in it's second year, it has became a workers favourite, and I am sure the guy paid to wash them down with a firehose enjoys it too!!

With more than 1400 crazy workers, it has to be a record cheque and possibly a few tourists!] we raised this year a staggering 22,000 € which has been donated once again to the Caritas Ibiza Charity. This was received with great thanks by Esperanza who was on hand to receive the donation.

Many special thanks need to go out to people that helped on the day, in no particular order. Firstly our sponsor Ibiza Travel Shop, workers book your flight home here please. Next to Sarah, Danny and Richie from Mega Music who sold all the wrist bands. Bartollo, who as usual provided a fabulous venue with all the facilities. Jafar and his team for security. Raffa, whose technical help on the day was bar none. Jay Moore, for making sure the musical production side of it happened. To all of the DJ's who gave their time and effort for nothing. To all the West End Bars who kindly donated. Peter from DigitalIbiza and Dean from Ground Zero for snapping away – check out all the pictures from the day at Photo Galleries
Not forgetting Piers & Steve for the DVD production of the day.
Loco – whose tiring efforts for charity never cease to amaze anybody and finally to all you mad workers who come to this island every year, often for little money and living in cramped conditions but without whom the island of Ibiza would not quite be the same.
A big big thank you must go to Julian who had no sleep and woz in 10 places at the same time – love Loco…xx
Note for your diary Sh*t 2009 will be 22 August 2009 – see you there!

About the Party
This is strictly a workers only party. You lot work hard...now its time to play hard and for a worthy cause.
DONT MISS IT!!
The Origination
This 'shit parties' originated a few years ago when Mr LoCo decided to throw a workers party at a local San Antonio supermarket ( Wipps 24h). The party was such a success, that he decided that there should be more...
The party relies on the generousity of local businesses and individuals to sponsor or help organise these great parties. There is a lot of work involved in ensuring that the workers have a great 'hassle free' day.
If you intend coming along this year, please take the time to thank some of the people involved in making this event happen, but most importantly, ENJOY yourself.
Special Thanks to all of this years DJs
